Supervision

Supervision during and before the GZ training

Working as a psychologist asks a lot of you: new cases, a new role and, at times, doubts about your own abilities. I know the GZ training from my own experience. In supervision we make room to look at all of this carefully and without hurry, whether you are already in training or preparing for it. I offer both treatment and assessment supervision.

Who it is for

Psychologists in training to become a healthcare psychologist (PIOG). And master-level psychologists who want to feel more confident in their work and as a professional, or who are preparing for admission to, or the start of, the GZ training.

Treatment supervision

Cases, your therapeutic attitude and techniques, and your development as a clinician. If you are in training, we link this to the learning goals in your individual training plan (IOP). And, where helpful, what the work does to you.

Assessment supervision

From referral question to well-founded conclusion: formulating assessment questions, choosing instruments, integrating findings and reporting clearly. With extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment, ADHD and autism, intelligence and personality assessment.

Practical

Online throughout the Netherlands, or in person in Tilburg. A session consists of 45 minutes of supervision and 15 minutes of preparation; single or double sessions, weekly or every two weeks. There is currently room for new supervisees.

Also possible

Group supervision

You can also take part in supervision together, with up to four supervisees. Besides your own questions, you also learn from the cases and experiences of others. We match the length of the sessions to the number of participants.

  • Up to 4 participants
  • Length matched to group size
  • Online or in Tilburg
  • We agree on the details together in the introductory conversation, including what your programme allows

To me, supervision is first and foremost support in your training and your development as a psychologist. The aim is for you to feel more confident in your work. That means the conversation can go a little further than the case alone.

Wart Bagijn
About me

Wart Bagijn

I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with a background in medical psychology. After university I worked as a medical psychologist in a nursing home, with people with acquired brain injury, in rehabilitation and in complex somatic care, including ventilation care. That is also where I completed my GZ training.

I then moved to mental healthcare, starting in an autism team at Reinier van Arkel. During my training as a clinical psychologist I worked in medical psychology at a hospital, on a forensic psychiatric ward and at the PTC, where I was involved in outpatient and inpatient treatment of complex PTSD in specialist and highly specialist mental healthcare.

I am broadly trained. I work with CBT, ACT, schema therapy and affect phobia therapy, among others, have experience with group therapy and completed courses in DBT and MBT. In May 2027 I will start the ISTDP training. In assessment I have extensive experience with neuropsychological assessment, developmental conditions (ADHD and autism), intelligence testing and personality assessment, particularly following the alternative model and descriptive diagnosis.

I bring these different fields into supervision. Whether you work in a hospital, a nursing home, forensic care or mental healthcare, chances are I will recognise your context.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

What does a supervisor do during the GZ training?

Supervision is a fixed part of the practical component of the GZ training. As a supervisor I support your development as a clinician: we discuss cases, your professional attitude and the learning goals in your individual training plan (IOP). How much supervision you need is set out in the rules of your training institution.

Can I get supervision if I am not (yet) in the GZ training?

Yes. Master-level psychologists are welcome too, for example to gain confidence in their work and as a professional, or to prepare for admission to, or the start of, the GZ training.

Is online supervision possible?

Yes. Supervision can take place online, from anywhere in the Netherlands, or in person in Tilburg. The introductory conversation is always online.

What does supervision cost and who pays?

We discuss the fee during the introductory conversation. A session consists of 45 minutes of supervision and 15 minutes of preparation. By arrangement, the invoice goes to you or directly to your employer or training institution.

Do you offer both assessment and treatment supervision?

Yes. I offer both treatment supervision and assessment supervision. During the GZ training you receive supervision in both areas; in the introductory conversation we agree on what you need, in line with your individual training plan (IOP).

Is group supervision possible?

Yes. You can also take part in supervision together, with up to four supervisees. We match the length of the sessions to the number of participants. In the introductory conversation we discuss how to set it up and what your programme allows.

How often and how long are the sessions?

A session consists of 45 minutes of supervision and 15 minutes of preparation. We can schedule single or double sessions, weekly or every two weeks. Together we choose what suits your training and your schedule.

Does supervision with you count towards my training?

I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, both registered in the BIG register. Training institutions set their own requirements for supervisors. During the introductory conversation we look at the requirements of your programme together.
